The Charlotte Area

Whatever the reason you’re in Charlotte - hip nightlife, religious destinations, or historical attractions - our hotel will complete your stay with southern hospitality and convenient amenities. Located just ten minutes from Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, we offer a convenient shuttle for air passengers. If you’re traveling by car, we’re just off I-85 and offer free parking. Wake up to a free Bright Side Breakfast®, with waffles, fresh fruit, bagels and more, and relax in our comfortable, recently renovated rooms afterward, with free Wi-Fi and flat-panel TVs. Use our fitness center as your laundry is going, and if you’re here on business, our meeting facilities and free local calls will help make your trip as productive as possible.

Charlotte has many regions, each with a distinctive flair and unique attractions. Uptown, with its big-city feel, is the place to go for fine dining and an exciting nightlife. Plaza-Midwood is a historic area, but with the hip flare of tattoo parlors and record shops. University City has the UNC campus, a huge number of people, and Charlotte Motor Speedway, while Myer’s Park is full of buildings from the 1920s and some of the city’s oldest houses along uniquely beautiful tree-lined avenues serviced by electric trolleys. NoDa is the city’s arts district, a formerly industrial area now filled with theaters, galleries, restaurants and bars. From hip culture to history to religious attractions, Charlotte has something unique for everyone.

Local Attractions

The Queen City is older than the USA, having been founded in the 1750s, and is now a bustling metropolitan area. This makes it a place full of historical attractions, cultural institutions and education, and of fine dining, great shopping and a thriving nightlife. Go to one of the area’s museums, play a round of golf, or take a picturesque tour of the city in a horse-drawn carriage. Discovery Place is a hands-on educational experience for the whole family! If you’re interested in religion, take a look at the Billy Graham library, a museum dedicated to the life and international work of the famous minister. For the sports enthusiast, numerous stadiums are nearby such as  Bank of America Stadium, home of the NFL Carolina Panthers and Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the NBA Bobcats/next year’s Charlotte Hornets.
